
Rowan Knight is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas but was drawn to Los Angeles because of an interest in pursuing a career in filmmaking. Rowan is a graduate from Colorado College, where they majored in Film and Media Studies and minored in Music. Their award winning thesis film has played at festivals across the country including New Filmmakers Los Angeles, Filmland: Arkansas, and The East Village Queer Film Festival. Rowan is passionate about telling queer stories through the medium of film and pushing the boundaries of space and time through the camera. Rowan is currently working as a theater tech at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and freelancing as a production assistant on film sets. Other creative pursuits of Rowan’s include sketch comedy, improv comedy, and their band Boy Phase, in which they sing and play electric guitar.
